Radha Krishna and Sakhis on Radha Kund is a beautiful theme that depicts the divine love and joy of the supreme couple and their friends in the holy land of Vrindavan. Radha Kund is a sacred pond that was created by Radha and her sakhis (female companions) with the water of Shyam Kund, another sacred pond that was created by Krishna with the water of all the holy rivers. Radha Krishna and their sakhis often enjoy their pastimes in the vicinity of these ponds, which are considered as the eyes of Govardhan Hill, the sacred mountain that was lifted by Krishna to protect the inhabitants of Vrindavan from the wrath of Indra, the king of gods.
